Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – [November 16, 2024] – In a visionary partnership, Sirage Capital and Skyvast have announced a joint venture to launch the Perlis Advance Tech Park. Spanning 600 acres in Chuping, Perlis, this high-tech industry park is set to elevate Malaysia’s role in the digital economy, AI innovation, and renewable energy within the ASEAN region and beyond, with a projected total investment of $11 billion USD (approximately RM 49 billion).
The joint venture brings together Sirage Capital Sdn Bhd and Skyvast Sdn Bhd in a powerful partnership to drive high-tech industry development in Malaysia. Sirage Capital Sdn Bhd, an investment holding company controlled by the Perlis Royalty, invests in strategic sectors such as advanced technology, energy, medical services, and communication, bringing vital regional leadership and resources to the alliance. Skyvast Sdn Bhd, a leading Malaysian company, specializes in strategic investments across artificial intelligence (AI), data infrastructure, renewable energy, and smart technology, with a reputation for sustainable innovation and expertise across high-growth markets. Skyvast’s portfolio spans high-performance computing, green technology, and AI integration, with a strong focus on advancing eco-friendly, energy-efficient solutions.
The partnership was officially marked at a signing ceremony held on 16 November 2024 at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. The momentous event was graced by the presence of His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, the Raja Muda of Perlis, alongside the Minister of Communications Malaysia, YB Fahmi Fadzil. This historic occasion reinforced the shared vision of Sirage and Skyvast to advance innovation, sustainability, and regional growth.
Together, the two companies aim to establish the Perlis Advance Tech Park as a cornerstone of Malaysia’s digital economy, with a focus on driving AI innovation, renewable energy integration, and world-class digital infrastructure that supports cutting-edge technologies.

Perlis Advance Tech Park will be Malaysia’s first off-grid, Tier 4-compliant data center industry park, ensuring the highest levels of redundancy, fault tolerance, and operational resilience. The park will feature a 600-acre dedicated area for next-generation data centers, with a total sustainable power capacity of 1.25 GW, generated through a combination of solar energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. Strategically positioned near an international data exchange, the park will offer direct access to global connectivity, making it an ideal choice for high-performance data operations, AI applications, and real-time digital solutions. The off-grid power and water systems will provide stable, sustainable energy and resource management, tailored to meet the high demands of digital and industrial users.
The strategic location of Chuping provides unparalleled advantages for the development of the Perlis Advance Tech Park. Situated in close proximity to international internet exchange landing stations in Satun, Thailand, and Kuala Muda, Kedah, the park ensures direct access to global connectivity, making it a prime location for high-performance data operations and real-time digital applications. Additionally, Perlis boasts some of the highest solar irradiance levels in the region, coupled with vast expanses of flat land, ideal for large-scale solar energy projects. The presence of established gas and power pipeline infrastructure further enhances the region’s suitability, offering reliable energy resources to support the park’s off-grid, sustainable operations. These unique locational advantages position Perlis as a critical hub for digital innovation, renewable energy, and economic growth.
In the era of sustainability, clean energy is foundational to the future of high-tech industry parks. The Perlis Advance Tech Park exemplifies this by integrating renewable energy sources such as solar power, BESS, and a CCGT power plant, ensuring that power-intensive data centers and tech facilities operate with minimal environmental impact. The transition to clean energy not only meets the regulatory demands for carbon neutrality but also empowers the park to provide reliable, resilient power independent of conventional grids. By leading with clean energy, the park sets a precedent for green, sustainable high-tech development in the region.
As a cornerstone of the digital economy, high-tech industry parks provide essential infrastructure for data-driven industries such as AI, IoT, healthcare, and finance. With its proximity to an international data exchange and high-speed connectivity, the Perlis Advance Tech Park is poised to support everything from real-time applications to complex AI processing and edge computing. In high-growth markets, where digital adoption is accelerating, investment in such infrastructure enhances regional competitiveness and connects businesses to global markets. Through state-of-the-art facilities and resilient digital infrastructure, the park aims to position Malaysia as a leader in the digital economy, bringing together local innovation and international connectivity.
