Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – [May 22, 2025] – – Skyvast Data Sdn Bhd, a leading Malaysian technology company, has announced the successful launch of the country’s first private deployment of a sovereign, full-stack Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure. The launch event, held on 19 May 2025, marked a major milestone in Malaysia’s digital advancement, delivering a comprehensive AI ecosystem developed entirely by local companies. Skyvast leads the overall architecture and orchestration, with Leadyo serving as hardware delivery partner.
This end-to-end infrastructure spans AI servers, connectivity, energy systems, data centers, cloud platforms, systems integration, and end-user deployment. It is designed to serve diverse applications across public services, enterprise innovation, and research, empowering Malaysia’s digital future with locally controlled, high-performance computing capabilities.

A major highlight of the initiative is the launch of a sovereign generative AI environment powered by the AlterMatic DT250 AI Server. Featuring eight high-end GPUs, the system delivers 20% higher performance and 30% energy savings over industry peers, and it hosts the DeepSeek open-source large language model.
Skyvast has also unveiled a roadmap to deploy 3,000 advanced GPUs across multiple infrastructure zones by 2026. Supporting this scale-out is a growing ecosystem of Malaysian AI integration partners. At the launch, nine strategic firms that includes VSTECS, China Telecom, PiDC Holdings, iFIBER, ACEiT, Virtual Network Solutions, Work@Cloud, Sero AI, and Gentech AI, were introduced as key collaborators in co-developing sovereign-compliant AI applications across public, private, and academic domains.
