Beijing, China – [May 30, 2024] – In conjunction with the visit to China by Nurul Izzah Anwar, Vice President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Skyvast held a closed-door session with the China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC) to exchange perspectives on social development and innovation that benefits the public.
The visit, which marked the 50th anniversary of Malaysia–China diplomatic relations, was part of a broader initiative to strengthen party-level cooperation and foster people-to-people ties. During her engagements in Beijing and Shenzhen, Nurul Izzah emphasized the value of shared ideals, inclusive growth, and meaningful public outcomes — a message that resonated throughout the week’s meetings and forums, as reported by Bernama-Xinhua.
Skyvast’s private session with CIECC was aligned with these themes, focusing on how both sides can collaborate on innovation frameworks and development strategies that prioritize accessibility, community upliftment, and long-term social impact. The discussion was joined by Dou Hao, Executive Director of the CIECC Academy of Strategic Studies, who led a thoughtful exchange on policy perspectives, planning models, and the role of institutional collaboration in supporting grassroots progress.
Accompanying Nurul Izzah was Dato’ Romli Ishak, who serves as the Senior Political Secretary to the PKR President. His presence underscored the party’s commitment to fostering international relationships that align with PKR’s vision for inclusive and sustainable development.

Skyvast also shared ongoing initiatives within Malaysia that emphasize inclusive development, including efforts to attract international collaboration around digital capacity-building, local empowerment, and education-linked infrastructure. While specific program details remain private, both parties expressed optimism around the potential for continued collaboration rooted in shared values and long-term trust.
The engagement underscores the importance of quiet diplomacy and institutional dialogue in advancing meaningful cooperation between Malaysia and China, where innovation and development are ultimately measured by how they serve people and communities.
