Hebei, China – [June 6, 2024] – Skyvast Corporation, in its continuous effort to explore and expand agri-innovation opportunities, organized a visit to Shouheng Group. This visit builds upon the initial trip in March 2024, where Skyvast’s leadership, including Group Chairman Shawn Tan and Niqman Rafaee M. Sahar, Minister Counselor for the Malaysian Embassy in China, engaged with Mr. Zhang Zefeng, Party Secretary of the Hebei Commerce Department.
In the recent trip, the delegation, led by Roni Mustapha, Managing Partner of Skyvast, and accompanied by representatives from FGV Holdings Berhad, continued their in-depth discussions about potential collaboration under the RCEP framework.
The delegation toured Shouheng’s Gaobeidian market, focusing on the imported fruit trading area and the pre-prepared food industrial park. They gained insights into the sales performance of Malaysian agricultural products and the operational dynamics of the industrial park.
During a subsequent meeting, Shouheng Group President Wei Shujian provided an overview of the company’s growth and key business areas, which include bulk agricultural products wholesale, advanced agricultural processing, cross-border trade, fresh produce e-commerce, and food cultural initiatives. Shouheng Group’s operations now span over 40 countries, with the Gaobeidian market serving as a key northern hub for imported fruits.
Niqman Rafaee M. Sahar, Minister Counselor for the Malaysian Embassy in China, highlighted the robust trade relations between Malaysia and China, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties. He expressed hopes for enhanced trade cooperation under the RCEP agreement and invited Shouheng to participate in the Malaysian Halal Expo and Malaysia-China Summit.
Salman Ghazali, Group Chief Strategy Officer of FGV Holdings Berhad, praised Shouheng’s achievements in international trade and food processing. He anticipates deeper cooperation through cross-border e-commerce platforms.
Officials from the Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, Baoding City Government, and Gaobeidian City Government also joined the discussions.
