Perlis, Malaysia – [January 15, 2025] — A landmark partnership between Sirage Skyvast Holdings Sdn Bhd and the Perlis State Secretary Incorporation (PSSI) is setting the stage for Malaysia’s next leap in AI infrastructure. Through the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both parties have launched the Bandar Teknologi Maju Perlis (PATP) — a transformative project aimed at delivering AI-scale compute infrastructure, clean energy systems, and digital-ready land activation.
Situated across more than 600 acres in Chuping, Perlis, PATP will serve as a dedicated hub for hyperscale data centers, high-performance computing (HPC) operations, and off-grid energy solutions. The project is one of the first deployments under Skyvast’s Neural Energy Infrastructure (NEI) strategy — a model that integrates land, power, and computing power as a unified platform to support AI at scale.
“This infrastructure is purpose-built for the demands of next-generation AI compute,” said Rahimi. “It ensures not only stability, but strategic energy sovereignty for the region.”
The ceremony was attended by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli, and Skyvast Group Chairman Shawn Tan, who witnessed the official exchange of agreements between Sirage Skyvast, PSSI, and partners Sirage Energy Sdn Bhd and Gaya Analisa Sdn Bhd.
The PATP project is expected to drive more than RM49 billion in combined investment — with RM18 billion allocated to infrastructure development and RM31 billion in projected capital from hyperscale data center operators. In total, the initiative is forecasted to create 9,000 construction jobs and 2,000 direct operational roles, while elevating Perlis as a rising hub in the Southeast Asian digital economy.

“PATP isn’t just about building data centers — it’s about building the AI infrastructure of the AI century,” said Roni Shah Mustapha, representing Sirage Skyvast Holdings. “This is where infrastructure meets intelligence — and where Malaysia can lead.”
The project has already drawn interest from global hyperscalers such as Microsoft and Google, with Perlis’ available land and energy strategy positioning it as a compelling alternative to land-limited markets like Singapore. Malaysia’s Minister of Communications, YB Fahmi Fadzil, has praised the project as a potential “game-changer” for regional data infrastructure.
As planning advances, PATP stands as a national milestone — uniting land, power, and data into a scalable infrastructure platform ready for the AI-driven economy.
